Amanda Wentworth, E-RYT 500, has created a life of studying movement arts. Her evolution began with varied disciplines through gymnastics, modern dance, and capoiera, yet her present focus revolves completely around the philosophy of yoga. She received her 1,000-hour Hatha Yoga certification with Iyengar instructors Betty Larson and John Charping at the Southern Institute of Yoga Instructors. In 2004, she moved to NYC to further her studies and trained in Katonah Yoga with Elizabeth Andes-Bell. Her explorations in Katonah Yoga, a method steeped in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism, opened the physical structure of the practice, exposing energetic harmony between one’s body and the surrounding natural world. Amanda is currently director and co-teacher of the Teacher Training program at Om Factory Yoga Center in New York City, a 200-hour Hatha Vinyasa registered school. She actively teaches classes, workshops, and retreats to students of all levels imparting the balance of power and peace in the practice. Recent retreats to India, Mexico, and Italy have spread her therapeutic and compassionate touch worldwide. Amanda’s love for humanity blends with the energetic flow of nature to create a yoga experience both personal and present in our ever-evolving world.
