Acrobatics Immersion aT the Circus Warehouse

This course fulfills the Retreat/Immersion pre-requisite with Jason or Jenny for eligibility to apply for the 2011 AcroYoga Teacher Training.

In this immersion, students will be empowered with the techniques of acrobatics. The foundation of acrobatics is spotting, and with this skill in place, students will be able to take jumps in their practice that they did not know were possible. Strength training, and inversion techniques blended with skillful spotting brings about a new sense of potential.
Our daily schedule will run from 10am-1pm & 3-6pm with a break for lunch. Each day begins with the AcroYoga asana warm-up into inversions training. From there, we transition into strength training and partner acrobatics. During the afternoon, we run acrobatic sequences, and finish the day with a brief Thai massage cool down.
This is an intermediate / advanced level immersion. Pre-requisites include: 1 year of yoga experience, 1 year of AcroYoga or acrobatics experience, free-balancing headstand for 1 min, handstand against the wall for 30 sec, and 3 knee pushups, down dog push ups, hollow body rocks, and v-ups with good general form. All of these elements are necessary in order to apply for the immersion.
Please note that this is a non-residential intensive. Your investment includes tuition only; accommodations and food are the responsibility of the individual.
Further details will be provided after review of each applicant. Priority will be given to students who have already completed a 5-day General Immersion and a 5-day Therapeutic Thai Massage & Flying Immersion with Jenny or Jason.
All participants are required to come with their own copy of the AcroYoga Flight Manual, which is available for sale at our studio.
