KRISSY SHIELDS
Growing up a dancer and gymnast, Krissy has always been connected to her body. She first learned a sun salutation in a movement class during acting school. In college she taught aerobics and held a handful of other jobs, such as artists' model, bartender, and librarian, to name a few. After college, to balance out some rigorous circus classes, she began taking Kundalini yoga classes, which led her to a meditation practice and to various styles of yoga in Chicago. Nothing helped with her move to New York City more than diving into her practice. She received her 200-hour teaching certificate from Sonic in 2005. She loves offering her students an outlet to expand, build strength, breathe, and learn something new about themselves.
