Our Family

Adam Rinder
My yoga practice began in 2002 while I was living on Maui in synchronicity with my growing addiction to surfing. Over the years, I have been blessed by the great company of incredible teachers and dedicated practitioners who have inspired me on the spiritual path and supported me in the process of self-discovery and wakefulness.
I am deeply grateful for the loving support of my primary yoga teachers, Darren Rhodes and Christina Sell, whose unwavering dedication and radical authenticity is a model of integrity that deeply inspires my path as a teacher. I am equally grateful to the AcroYoga community for all the wisdom, joy and love I have received over the years, and especially for my first AcroYoga teachers, Jenny, Jason & Carolyn. I have studied extensively with teachers from the Thai Massage Circus including Gwyn Williams, Arno L’hermitte, David Lutt and Kaline Kelly. I embrace its incredibly gifted team of teachers who carry the legacy of the masters who have inspired them.
My greatest wish as a teacher is to inspire students to embrace the essence of who they are and to express themselves with courageous vulnerability. I offer these practices as a gateway to the heart, to reveal our true nature and deeper sense of purpose, and to facilitate personal transformation with the support of community.

Amanda Wentworth
Amanda Wentworth, E-RYT 500, has created a life of studying movement arts. Her evolution began with varied disciplines through gymnastics, modern dance, and capoiera, yet her present focus revolves completely around the philosophy of yoga. She received her 1,000-hour Hatha Yoga certification with Iyengar instructors Betty Larson and John Charping at the Southern Institute of Yoga Instructors. In 2004, she moved to NYC to further her studies and trained in Katonah Yoga with Elizabeth Andes-Bell. Her explorations in Katonah Yoga, a method steeped in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism, opened the physical structure of the practice, exposing energetic harmony between one’s body and the surrounding natural world.
Amanda is currently director and co-teacher of the Teacher Training program at Om Factory Yoga Center in New York City, a 200-hour Hatha Vinyasa registered school. She actively teaches classes, workshops, and retreats to students of all levels imparting the balance of power and peace in the practice. Recent retreats to India, Mexico, and Italy have spread her therapeutic and compassionate touch worldwide. Amanda’s love for humanity blends with the energetic flow of nature to create a yoga experience both personal and present in our ever-evolving world.

Amanda Winkler
Amanda grew up in upstate NY and dreamed of one day moving to NYC to be a fashion designer. In 2005 that dream became a reality, and Amanda spent the next five years immersed in the fashion industry. To balance the fast-paced lifestyle of her fashion career Amanda began practicing yoga, which quickly became more than just a hobby. As her relationship with her yoga practice deepened, she enrolled in Om Factory’s 200-hour RYT program. Since completing this program Amanda has focused her yoga practice and teaching strongly on anatomy and alignment. She is currently in the process of completing a 108-hour Yoga Anatomy certification with Jason Brown, a Yoga Tune Up Level 1 certification with Jill Miller, as well as an Antigravity Yoga certification with Christopher Harrison. Through the study of the human body Amanda aims to teach poses with a purpose, and hopes to inspire her students to play creatively in their own bodies. Amanda recently became a Lolë ambassador, and loves how Lolë inspires women to be strong and confident in their own skin. When Amanda’s not on the mat you can find her teaching high school students to design, working on her own creative projects, and spending time outside playing in the sunshine!

Andrea Borrero
Andrea started practicing in 1997 at Integral Yoga and received her 200-hour certification in 2007 and 300-hour in 2008, both at New York Yoga with Kristin Leal. She recently completed teacher trainings with David Swenson and Shiva Rea, and continues to take workshops and classes with a variety of teachers from around the world. With much gratitude, she considers herself to be at the beginning of a life-long journey.
Andrea’s strong Vinyasa flow is an assimilation of anatomical knowledge, spiritual intention, meditation, and focused breath. An avid runner and kick-boxer as well as a yogi, she loves the honesty found in simply moving and sweating. Yoga is medicine; it’s peace; it’s intuition revealed and she dedicates her classes to this deep respect for the practice.

Ariel Willams
Ariel has studied AntiGravity® Yoga with Christopher Harrison since 2009. She is a certified Level 1 and Restorative Anti-Gravity instructor, and Ariel also graduated from Om Factory’s 200-Hour Vinyasa teacher training program.
Having started her yoga path later in life, Ariel brings her experiences to class by blending the physical aspects of the practice with the spiritually healing aspects of building self-confidence, self-esteem, and trust. She offers a friendly and light hearted approach to her classes, making even the most nervous students feel comfortable. Her attention to detail and patient demeanor help to create a safe and trusting space for all her students.

Arthur Roldan
Arthur was born in New York City and was raised in both New York and Bogota, Colombia. Arthur was a shy kid who loved climbing trees and playing in the woods. Arthur has always been passionate about sound and music and plays as many musical instruments as he can get his hands on. However, he keeps coming back to his true love, the guitar. Arthur has been in many bands and once upon a time toured around North America with an underground punk band. Arthur started practicing yoga in 2000. He became very interested in the esoteric teachings of India. Arthur’s affinity for the esoteric has complimented his love for music and he has a deep appreciation for the potential of musical practice becoming part of the yoga path. Arthur began practicing Ashtanga in 2005 with Sri K. Patthabi Jois.
He has been studying Sanskrit since 2007. Given his love for music, Arthur brings a gentle playfulness to the practice which carries over to his teaching style. He understands that the practice is difficult and requires a good sense of humor. By being willing to laugh at himself, he ensures that his students are able to laugh at themselves. Arthur makes sure that the path of Yoga is fun for all of his students.

A passion for discovering subtlety in movement has lead Chris to deepen her education with the Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers® kinesiology program. Her playful yet focused classes are filled with user friendly gems of applied anatomy leaving students with a greater understanding of how to find comfort and space in their bodies and smiles beaming across their faces. She encourages teachers to set a higher standard of excellence through knowledge and has become a valuable mentor to many upcoming yoga educators.

From Broadway to the Olympic Games to the Academy Awards, he has produced, directed and choreographed original shows for hundreds of high-profile productions worldwide while creating careers for hundreds of athletes.
As the President of AntiGravity Fitness LLC, he is the creator of AntiGravity® Yoga, the first in the exploding field of “suspension training”. The technique originally stemmed from a performance technique Mr. Harrison devised on the AntiGravity Hammock which takes place 30 feet in the air. Christopher’s background is in competitive gymnastics where as a floor exercise specialist he took second place in the nation and fourth place at the USSAF World Game. After earning a bachelors degree in dance, Mr. Harrison performed on Broadway and in feature films before starting his New York based acrobatic company.
While in India in 1996, Christopher discovered yoga and began his practice. He continues his studies in his worldwide travels and studied extensively at Integral Yoga in NYC. Mr. Harrison has been a USAG certified gymnastics coach who has taught at both the university and elementary level and is currently certified as a AFAA professional fitness provider. At the core of all of Mr. Harrison’s work is the desire to motivate and inspire fitness in others with his passion for expression through physicality.

Constanza Roldan
Constanza was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, where she was a fun-loving wild child with a passion for the ocean. Having seen pictures of Canada as a child, and seeing the majesty of Canada’s landscape, she became determined to live there. She attended Art School in Toronto and Montreal where she studied painting. She started practicing yoga while in Canada in 1998. Subsequently, she lived in Costa Rica where she re-ignited her passion for the ocean by learning to surf. She began her Ashtanga practice in 2005 with Sri K. Patthabi Jois and hasn’t looked back since. In the late summer of 2010, she had a third of her lung removed due to an undetected, lifelong emphysema. She is convinced that Ashtanga prepared her for this event and has been a primary source of her healing.
Her teaching style is simultaneously strict and compassionate. She encourages her students to accept themselves for where they are and how to become more genuinely themselves through the connection of the vinyasa, asana and breath of the Ashtanga practice.

Doreen Kramer
Yoga braids together Doreen’s passionate interests in and commitment to the body as a site for healing, empowerment and liberation. She has a bachelors Degree from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Studies, with a concentration in social theory, women’s studies, and dance. In 2007, Doreen completed the Forrest Yoga Teacher Training with Ana Forrest in Hong Kong, and within the year became a Certified Forrest Yoga teacher. Her teaching is guided by intuition, intelligence, compassion, creativity, and quality hands-on adjustments. Doreen is also a doula (labor and birth assistant), and it is her great joy and satisfaction to work with people as they learn to overcome obstacles, embrace their wholeness and live with integrity.

Emilia Conradson
Emilia Conradson, M.A. L.M.T is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Structural Integration (Rolfing) practitioner, and certified Integrative Life Coach. She began practicing yoga to heal back spasms that were attributed to her muscular imbalance and functional scoliosis. Although her initial studies of Ashtanga yoga eliminated the back pain, it wasn’t until she discovered the Forrest Yoga method that she developed a connection to her inner strength- the “beyond the physical” element of yoga that she was craving. The intuitive, spirit-healing approach to asana taught by Ana Forrest was able to expand her breath and melt her holding patterns so she could open into more exhilarating and advanced postures.
Emilia became an apprentice to Christopher Harrison, the founder of AntiGravity Yoga, during the first phases of the AntiGravity® Program at Om Factory. As an Italian-American, Emilia had a dream to teach in yoga in Italy. He dream was fulfilled in 2009 when she presented AntiGravity Yoga at the Milan Yoga Journal Conference. She has since returned to Italy to train AntiGravity Yoga instructors.
In addition to her teachings at Om Factory, Emilia offers private sessions for therapeutic posture alignment, yoga therapy and life coaching, Structural Integration Rolfing and massage therapy. Her private studio, Balance in Body, is located in the same building as Om Factory, and specializes in alleviating chronic pain patterns, imbalance form injuries, flexibility concerns and the stress and tension of daily living.

Eric Elven
As a teacher Eric strives to create a spacious, calm, safe yet challenging environment for students to explore the postures. His classes combine concise explanations, supportive hands-on adjustments, an energizing flow and deep holds. Eric’s relaxed and grounded manner will leave you feeling serene. Discovering yoga during one of life’s “rough patches” Eric found it to be a potent catalyst for his personal healing. He has completed Level I & II teacher trainings with Baron Baptiste. In his native city of Seattle Eric studied extensively with master Baptiste instructor Lisa Black. He also credits Ana Forrest and Shiva Rea, among others, with influencing his practice and teaching. He did his certification training with 8 Limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle.
After 16 years as a Registered Nurse, specializing in the fields of intensive care and stem cell or bone marrow transplantation, Eric decided that he wanted to direct his life energies toward health promotion and disease prevention as opposed to disease combat. He briefly considered a career in academia but owing to his independent and creative nature he instead opted to leave the health care profession to pursue teaching yoga full-time. “Ah but beware,” intoned his vedic astrologer Robert Koch, “Your life in the healing arts is not over. Your first 40 years has been dedicated to working as a healer on the physical plane. Your next 40 years will be dedicated to healing on the metaphysical plane.”

Faramarz
Faramarz is Om Factory’s founder, designer, and architect. A Persian native, Faramarz did his schooling at Kunstgewerbeschule in Basel, Switzerland, where he received his post-graduate diploma in architecture and product design, and at the University of Oregon, where he received his Master of Architecture degree. Since 1980, Faramarz has made his home in New York City, and in 1984, formed his architectural firm, Arte New York. Faramarz was introduced to yoga at Gold’s Gym, NYC, which he designed. Smitten, Faramarz went on to receive his yoga teacher training at Laughing Lotus under the guidance of Jasmine Tarkeshi and Dana Flynn. Om Factory is the realization of Faramarz’s longtime dream of creating a holistic wellness center.

Greg Franklin
Greg has been a student of various forms of yoga, bodywork, and conscious arts for the past 15 years. As an undergrad, he focused his education on Studio Arts & Religious Studies, and then set out to explore the world up close and firsthand, studying formally for a year in Indonesia, then continuing an informal education through further journeys around the globe. After a two-year world traveling sojourn inspired by a hand reader, HH the 14th Dalai Lama, & a moldy backpack, he made his way to New York City, where he discovered (among other things) AcroYoga, a practice he’s come to wholeheartedly adore.
Obsessed with balancing objects since his best friend in the first grade taught him to hover a ruler on the edge of his desk, he sees balancing people with his body – and teaching others to do so – as a natural progression.
Greg finds the potential for self discovery, empowerment, transformation and fun in community that the practice of AcroYoga embodies ever-present and inspiring. He strives to make the work accessible to all who are willing and interested to give it a try, and invites you to come out and spread your wings.

Holly Coles
Holly Coles, E-RYT 500, hails from Australia, and growing up ‘down under’ is the only explanation she has for her insatiable desire to be upside-down. Holly leads Om Factory’s 200-Hour Hatha Vinyasa Teacher Training program with Amanda Wentworth. In her own words:
I am Australian. By default I love sport, I love to move and I love to play! I am motivated by the freedom that comes from movement. I have truly had my most liberating moments while sliding down a mountain, spinning around a dance floor and turning upside down on a mat. As long as I have the ability to move, I will continue to learn and share my understanding of what it is to find inspiration through motion.
I am a Scorpio. By default I need a way to nurture the loyalty and pacify the sting! I am motivated by the sense of contentment that comes from real awareness. In the ultimate quest for a life that makes sense, I had the good fortune to find yoga. It is one of many traditions in our world that offers a framework to help us understand ourselves, along with the guidance to live a life inspired.

Josie Say
Josie Say has been involved in the arts and entertainment industry for over 20 years. Although her first love is acting, most of her career has focused on dance. Josie’s background in Lindy Hop, Charleston, jazz, hip hop, B-girlin’ (breakin’), popping, locking, house, tap, shag, boogie woogie, capoeira and African dance led her to found the dance collective Harlem Soul. She also lends her talents to In Rhythm with Him hip hop ministry as co-artistic director, and consults for KB’s Definition of Creativity.
Dance introduced Josie to Ashtanga Yoga. She fell in love with the clarity, focus, and sense of peace it brought her body, mind, and spirit. Since then, she has been fascinated with yoga’s varied styles, studying all forms from classic Hatha to playful partner-based AcroYoga. Josie holds a degree in Movement and Exercise Science, as well as certifications in Vinyasa Yoga (RYT), Thai Yoga Bodywork, and AntiGravity Yoga.

Julie Ziff Sint
Julie (Jewels) Ziff Sint has always led a multifaceted life, balancing a career in the nonprofit sector, circus arts performance, and yoga. Over several years, her yoga practice evolved from a “month on, month off” flirtation to an integral part of life, and Jewels came to experience it as a balance in-and-of itself. To each class, she brings her playful attitude and an emphasis on alignment-oriented vinyasa flow, her enjoyment of muscle-shaking sweatiness and calm mental bliss. Jewels completed her teacher training at Sankalpah Yoga Studio with Isaac Pena, Jude English, and Mary Dana Abbott. Her classes combine her most valued learnings from each of them as well as other important teachers in her life. In addition to vinyasa flow classes, Jewels teaches hoop vinyasa where she joins asana practice with hoop-dance fun and tricks.

Kate Goerlich
Katharine moved to New York City to study fashion design but ended up spending more time on the Yoga mat than behind the sewing machine. She strives to pull her creativity for the arts into her classes and believes Fashion and Yoga are closely related. “They both show the beauty of the human body. Fashion enhances the beauty on the outside while Yoga enhances the beauty on the inside.”

Africa and continue on this path- always moving with deep gratitude for my mentors
I thrive in training and heal in rhythm, experiencing Yoga (Union) through many forms of movement, rhythm, and stillness. Kevin Bigger
I found yoga in 2004 in the basement of a grocery store across the street from my freshman dorm in Boston. I’ve never been the same. As life carried me from acting school to a farm studying physical theatre in Western Mass and finally delivered me to New York City, yoga has been one of very few constants in my life.
I’m constantly struck by the power of my practice to meet my mind and body on their own terms on any specific day. Through yoga, I’ve healed injuries, learned to stop starving myself, soothed my rambling mind, confronted my limitations and learned to feel infinite. My classes – often slow, juicy and specific – are ultimately an effort to offer the same opportunities to my students.
I completed my vinyasa teacher training with Chanel Luck (my first teacher in that grocery store basement) and Bonnie Argo through their Radiant Yoga School in 2011. My teaching draws further inspiration from Ana Forrest, the crazy systems of breath and movement I studied in acting school and the amazing communities of teachers at Kula Yoga Project and, since my first day in New York, Om Factory.

Kirsten Trued
Kirsten Trued discovered yoga while beginning college in Seattle and enjoyed flirting with the asana practice. But it wasn’t until moving to New York City that she found the yoga mat to be an essential spiritual refuge from the chaos of city life. She strives to create challenging classes that creatively weave together juicy asanas for an invigorating and balanced practice.
Kirsten encourages her students to see yoga as a grounding experience that helps us let go of our fear and attachment and accept the process of finding our true Self. She has studied the healing powers of Meditation with David Nichtern and Restorative Yoga with Jillian Pransky, and completed her 200 hour teacher training at OM Factory with the guidance of her inspirational teachers, Amanda Wentworth and Holly Coles. She continues to learn from every teacher and student who shares her yogic path.

Kristina Cubrilo
I was always drawn to theosophical, metaphysical and spiritual knowledge, and besides my regular academic studies I would often immerse myself in books on universal consciousness, chakra healing, kundalini energy, kabbalah and meditation. Years later, after my flirtations with martial arts and after moving to the US, I started taking Bikram Yoga lessons in Williamsburg. I stumbled upon Om Factory Yoga Center on Google, in search of classes of AcroYoga. That was at the beginning of 2009 and since then Om Factory has been my home.
My journey with yoga began somewhere during my tweens when I picked up a book called ”The Sivananda Companion to Yoga” my dad kept in his library. Every time I’d say I was bored, he would say to go do some headstands because boredom was a state of mind, and so I did just that and was never bored again.
The world is my classroom, and all its peoples my teachers. My teaching style can be described as intense, healing & empowering. My desire as a teacher is to connect with people on a spiritual level even if they’ve never been exposed to spiritual aspects of existence.

Laura Murchie
Laura came to yoga in 2005 through her love of dance. While at first it was another way to train the body, she has grown passionate for all that yoga offers both physically and mentally. She completed her 200-hr certification in April 2011 at the OM Factory in NYC with Amanda Wentworth and Holly Coles. Her dance background offers a different perspective to her classes and understanding of the body. She is constantly learning and deepening her yoga practice to bring new inspiration to her students through passion, music and creativity.

Lorianne Major
Lorianne Major brings something unique to her Antigravity Yoga classes and it’s not just her huge smile and Boston accent. Being a dancer, singer, actress and baton twirler for many years, she has learned how important maintaining a well-rounded body and mind connection is. With a bright spirit and much laughter, her teaching is about the personal benefits one can reach through the enjoyment of AntiGravity® Yoga.
While studying under the founder and director of AntiGravity® Yoga, Christopher Harrison, Lorianne has had the opportunity to explore and integrate her dance education and body awareness, creating an exciting and challenging class for all bodies. She holds a B.A. in Dance from Dean College and has performed with numerous dance companies and musicals in Boston, MA and NYC. Discovering this new and inspirational form of yoga has not only given her the opportunity to “fly” beyond her wildest imagination but she’s also able to bring you right along with her.

Mary Aranas
Mary grew up in Taipei, bouncing along behind her big brother and his friends, seeking to do what they could; fast forward to teenage and jazz shoes in Ottawa; college and dojos in Toronto; acting and cycling in New York. Not until new motherhood grounded her did yoga become the obvious choice for both spiritual sanctuary and physical focus all in one. So Mary’s yoga practice dates to her becoming a mommy in 1995. Both her baby and her yoga practice are now beautiful happy teenagers!
After her own mom passed away in 2001, Mary took yoga teacher training with ISHTA Yogiraj Alan Finger. Since 2002 Mary has taught yoga joyously, gratefully, full-time, in New York and around about, to private clients and in classes, workshops, and retreats. In 2008 Mary earned her first AcroYoga certification from Jason Nemer and Jenny Sauer-Klein, and in 2009, her first Thai massage certification with Jenn Yarro. Mary leads mentorships, and Restorative teacher trainings, and she just loves to be a student too! Her yoga encompasses relationship, dharma, motherhood, and writing her regular newsletters. Her teaching ranges from meditation to chakra slow flow, to vinyasa to AcroYoga, both dynamic and therapeutic. Prana is chi is ruach is pneuma. May the prana be with you ~ constantly flowing ~ on and off the mat ~ surfboard ~ bike ~ slackline ~ kirtan ~ !! Om shanti!!

Matt Giordano
Matt’s yoga journey began after having read “Wisdom of the Peaceful Warrior” by Dan Millman. Towards the beginning of his exploration, Matt was taking up to 3 yoga classes a day, sampling different styles and philosophies, and eventually focused on pursuing deeper studies in Acroyoga, an acrobatic, partner yoga, and Anusara, two styles that are built upon the principals of love, kindness, and trust.
His vinyasa classes are perhaps his most creative style that has been developing and evolving over the past few years. Classes are reflective of his Mentor Marco’s teach, with the added playful spirit of an acro-yogi and fusion of Martial Arts. Every teacher Matt has studied with breathes through him, and he is grateful for all of their love and incredible support. Matt is a certified yoga instructor through the Pure Yoga teacher training program, as well as a Certified AcroYoga and YogaTuneUp instructor.

Michael McArdle
My teaching style is flowing, athletic and highly eclectic, incorporating various influences including, Pilates, Strength Training, Plyometrics, Gyrotonics and the best practices of the many great teachers whom I have had the good fortune to meet.
My classes are an improvisational affair. No two classes are the same. I like to impart a sense of play, irreverence, good music and fun to promote a safe atmosphere of positive thinking and body awareness.
I use visual demonstrations and hands-on adjustments to assist my students to achieve their goals. My hope is to have my students leave our class feeling renewed, refreshed and invigorated.

Ramona Bradley
Ever since I was a child, I’ve known I wanted to be a healer. Growing up I suffered from bouts of depression as I learned more and more about the complexity of human existence. Once I was able to recognize my suffering I began to seek out alternative modes of healing. Through painting, shamanic journeying, somato respitory integration, meditation and Forrest yoga, I’ve been on a constant hunt for my highest self and, along with that, my ever deepening health and ability to heal. After completing my Forrest yoga teacher training I realized it was time to step into my role as healer.
Through intense Forrest sequencing, I gear my classes towards helping people connect to their inner power and using that as a tool to break through physical and emotional pain. I challenge my students to be strong through holding long poses while using breath to discover places that can be softened. It is my goal as a teacher to create a safe yet challenging space for my students to explore themselves.

Sasha Bahador
Sasha’s insatiable curiously was sparked at a very early age, growing up to her father reading the Ecstatic love poems of Rumi and Enchanted wisdom of Hafiz, creating a lasting love affair with the mystery and potential in all things.
Yoga held one of the most revealing lanterns on her path, enabling her to grasp a balance between the physical and the mystical aspects of self and life. Her fascination with bridging the two initially earned her a degree in Kinesiology as she spent the first leg of this journey training and coaching clients and athletes. Since then branching into the study of Energy Healing, Tantric & Sufi philosophy, the mind, Sacred Ceremony & Activism, Ecstatic Dance and the physics of nature. She is also the founder of ‘Awaken Shakti’, and leads the community of the wild feminine in Yoga, Kirtan, Dance and Ceremony within Sacred Circle, creating space for liberation and connection.
In her classes and facilitation, she hopes to surface what is innately inside the studentship, honoring that knowing or studying something intellectually is just the gateway, rather experience and application with our own senses unravels that unforgettable, deep remembrance from within.
