A physically challenging and meditative practice incorporating kriyas, mantra, asana, pranayama and meditation. Reema's greatest influences are her family, Danny Paradise, Dharma Mittra, Larry Schultz, My Daya Vyaas and a variety of teachings such as those of the Tantrikas, Cetics, Sufiis, Egyptians and Native Americans.
Reema has been teaching Yoga and Ayurvedic cooking internationally since 2004. Her first teachers were her Grandparents and Mother. Her childhood memories are filled with time spent in the kitchen with her grandmothers, aunts and mother preparing meals laced with the subtle and tasty Ayurvedic herbs and spices.
Reema is certified as an Ayurvedic Therapist from the Indus Valley Ayurvedic Center in India and has enjoyed growing a large organic garden in Bali, Indonesia. Reema is co-author of the book Sacred Sanskrit Words for Yoga, Chant and Meditation (Stonebridge Press, 2004). She conducts annual retreats to her grandfather's village in Central India where three Ayurvedic meals are served daily along with daily asana, pranayama, meditation and philosophy sessions.
